Welcome to Seismic Yarn & Dyeworks, an independent dye studio located just outside of San Francisco, CA

Stow Lake is deep, watery hue with enough deep aqua to make you think you are in the middle of a calm lake on a perfect summer day.  Joining the San Francisco Collection, Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park is the location of many happy childhood memories with my father. That was where we went to do a little light boating on a nice day.  Not fancy boating with the special shoes and all the frills, but just a simple ride around the lake in a row, paddle, or (on the days we splurged) a small motor boat.  While I typically get horribly seasick, I could handle being on these boats for an hour with my dad and sister, munching on some popcorn and feeding the ducks and geese.  When I became a mom, it was where I spent many of my kids' toddler years - not boating but going on walks and feeding all the animals we could find.
